Students' artwork unveiled

The Georgia/Alabama region of Fairway Outdoor Advertising, based in Athens, Ga., recently unveiled three billboards showcasing area students' artwork.
The three winning works in categories of elementary, middle school and high school were created for the Vision 2030 art contest in nearby Gainesville, Ga. Entrants were
asked to ''imagine the future.''
Over the next two to three years, the winning entries will be displayed on Fairway billboards in Hall County.
''At Fairway Outdoor, we have a responsibility to be good stewards not just to the businesses we serve, but also the community at large,'' said Steve Guild, general
manager of Fairway's Georgia/Alabama branch.
''Because the foundation of outdoor advertising is helping local business be successful and grow, a partnership with Vision 2030 is an ideal fit,'' he added.
''We are excited about donating space to raise awareness of Vision 2030 and its efforts.''
Vision 2030 is a nine-month project sponsored by the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce to create a strategic plan for Gainesville-Hall County.
